Zoe had a cold this week but she's doing better today. She refuses to nap in the morning at the daycare for some unknown reason... She sleeps well in the afternoon so we're not too worried about it.
The tooth is slowly coming out. Fortunately, she's not too bothered with it.
The weather has been very nice so we've been walking with her and Puzzle a lot.
Zoe is starting to pull herself up in the crib and can stand for a minute or so when holding to the railing.

She has been sleeping better in the last few days. Hopefully, this pattern lasts.
We continue our exploration of new flavors: this week Zoe tried zucchinis (didn't like them so much). Bananas remain her all-time favorites. Green beans are the worst.

“I can touch my foot! How cool is that!?
Look how long I can be when I stretch!
Did you see that kick!?
Oh, here's mom! I'll smile to her.
Wow, I can make noise! Did you hear that!?
I can hold my knee! Cool!
Did you see me roll?!
Let's see, can I nurse and chew on my pajama at the same time? (no) I can hold my head way up! See!? (ouch) My hand is just fascinating. I could look at it forever. What was I doing?
Wow, did you see that light?!
Should I practice sitting up now?
Look, it's Puzzle!
What was that noise? Let's look!
I wonder if I can grab mommy's nose?(yes) What was I doing again?”

Baby Zoe gave us a 6 hours long night as a Father's Day Gift. A record. Of course, last night she was back to her normal routine, waking up every two hours.
Last week we tried the Baby Bjorn carrier. She likes it. We went to Marymoor park, with Andy and Liz and Puzzle and her Frisbee. Puzzle loved being out and Zoe did well.
This is a small picture I took with my phone. We were grocery shopping and she simply fall asleep quietly.
She was just one month old, two days ago.

Nights are also hit and miss but the last two she did have stretches of longer naps (in her case it means 2-3 hours).
Puzzle is still not sure what to do with this new pup. Yesterday she tentatively pointed her nose in direction of Zoe’s face, who unfortunately sneezed. Disgusted, Puzzle retreated. The taming of the new beast will have to come later.

We just came back home from the hospital. Swedish was nice, but mother and daughter were ready to leave.
“Auntie” Trisha stopped by to see Zoe. She was dog sitting Puzzle while we were away. Puzzle just met the baby. She is not quite sure what to do with this new life form.
When Zoe cries, Puzzle leaves the room with a look on her face implying “She’s yours. You brought her. You take care of her. I’m out of here.”
